Air Aroma is a leading scent marketing agency, designing custom fragrances for luxury brands around the world. From hotels to airports to high-end stores, Air Aroma translates brand identities into bespoke scents that are released into clients’ venues and spaces.

We collaborated with Air Aroma to create their Arologic solution - an innovative digital fragrance diffusion system that connects with physical scent diffuser devices.

The Arologic system is designed to automate, digitise and manage the release of bespoke scents into a client’s chosen spaces.

We were tasked with developing the software to allow scent diffusion devices to be digitally controlled by clients. Additionally, we needed to create an overarching management system for Air Aroma’s team.

Our Solution

We delivered Air Aroma’s requirements with the creation of 3 software components to support the physical fragrance diffuser devices.

  1. Administrative Web Application

    A content-managed ‘Arologic’ website application. This is the back-end management platform for the Air Aroma team. Our web app enables various users within the Air Aroma network to add and manage accounts, devices and settings.

  2. Customer Smartphone App

    The interface that Arologic customers use to set up and manage their Air Aroma scent diffusers. We built this mobile app in React Native with a single codebase for Android and iOS.

  3. Custom API Development

    The glue that holds everything together. Our custom API is responsible for interacting with various services, such as the Web App, AWS IOT, Salesforce and the Smartphone App.

Through the combination of the above 3 software components, our solution for Air Aroma enables:

  • Integration with Amazon Web Service Internet of Things (AWS IoT)

  • Connection of customer app to scent diffusers via WiFi and Bluetooth

  • Ability to schedule times that the diffusers release fragrances

  • Ability to control scent in multiple rooms in multiple venues

  • Pushy notifications when the device is running low on fragrance

  • Client account integration with Salesforce

Outcomes

Through successful collaboration with Air Aroma’s electronics partner, we delivered a completely bespoke and unique software solution. The Arologic system enhances the user experience for Air Aroma’s clients and customers. And it has the power to shape the future of their company.

Air Aroma plans to roll out its new digital solution worldwide, replacing its analogue scent diffusion systems globally. With an industry-leading solution in their hands, we’ve empowered Air Aroma with the competitive edge to secure larger contracts and grow their business even further.
